The Almaty City Court extended the arrest of the former deputy of the Parliament Asylbek uulu Damirbek until May 15. Tengrinews.kz reported.
The day before, the court considered the sanction for the extension of the arrest of five accused (including three Kyrgyz citizens), detained during a special operation in Kazakhstan in February.
Asylbek uulu Damirbek and Ulanbek Muradilov will be under arrest until May 15, and Chygiz Abakirov — until May 16.
Recall, all three were detained during a special operation in Kazakhstan on February 15-16. Asylbek uulu Damirbek, who had Kazakh citizenship, is considered to be the head of the smugglers. In April, the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan deprived him of his deputy seat.
