The day before, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported that the owner of a sewing workshop in Ryazan grossly violated the rights of labor migrants. The Kyrgyz citizens were taken away their passports, kept in the sewing workshop and were not paid their salaries. Russian law enforcement bodies carry out inspection, several offices of Fevral LLC have been closed down, financial documents, office equipment, hard disks from surveillance cameras have been confiscated.
«The perpetrators should be punished within the framework of the legislation of the Russian Federation and international norms, since this fact shows the existence of modern forms of slavery, which is punishable by the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,» Kubat Otorbaev said in the letter.
