Mining company in Ak-Tyuz: No radioactive elements in waste

There are no radioactive elements and heavy metals in the industrial wastes of the factory in Ak-Tyuz village. The concentrating factory Geo Reserve CJSC informed 24.kg news agency.

According to its data, the factory processes gold and silver from Kuranjaylyau deposit.

«There are no uranium-containing and other radioactive elements, as well as heavy metals in the industrial waste of the plant. The hole in the pipe is the service hatch of the pulp feed-line,» the company said.

Recall, the day before the local residents told  24.kg news agency that on February 25 there was a break in a pipe, running along the road from the gold extraction plant to the dam of the tailing dump. According to the villagers, chemical waste poured into the river and spilled along the road. They sent a video from the scene.

Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that their employees were working at the scene.
