Bishkek HPP starts using coal from state material reserve

Bishkek Heating and Power Plant started using coal from the state material reserve. Electric Stations OJSC informed 24.kg news agency.

«The use of coal from the state material reserve is caused only by fact that the coal that is stored there for a long time must be burned until it has not lost its quality characteristics. The decree of the Kyrgyz government on this was signed on June 22, 2017. There is no shortage of coal at Bishkek HPP at the time. The work is conducted in the regular mode,» the company explained.

Recall, earlier Kazakhstan offered to limit the export of coal for the period of preparation for the heating season.

Electric Stations Company assures that there are no problems with supplies. The last batch of Kazakh fuel was received on October 19. In total, 257,579 tons of both local and imported fuel are available in the warehouses of Bishkek HPP. Average consumption per day is 2,700 tons.
