MFA clarifies: two Kyrgyzstanis killed in plane crash near Almaty

According to the preliminary information of the General Consulate of Kyrgyzstan in Almaty, two crew members of the crashed  near Almaty aircraft were citizens of the : the commander of the aircraft Ts.G., born in 1963, and the engineer A.B., born in 1961.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the , an identification procedure is currently under way. The competent bodies of the two countries are working on the issue of transporting the bodies of the deceased citizens of  to their homeland.

Light aircraft An-28 of East Wing airline, which followed Almaty — Shymkent route, disappeared from the radar 12 minutes after take-off. Later it became known that it crashed 28 kilometers from Almaty airport and caught fire. All five people aboard were killed.

To clarify the circumstances, the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Almaty immediately contacted the Department of Investigation in Transport of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the .

 An investigation of the fact of the crash will be conducted.
