Asian Games: Kyrgyzstanis win five medals at belt wrestling tournament

Kyrgyzstanis won five medals at the belt wrestling tournament in the framework of the Asian Games and Martial Arts, continuing in Ashgabat. This was reported by the official site of competitions.

At the belt wrestling tournament, Kyrgyzstan has the largest representation among all types — 34 athletes. Today, 19 of them performed. Five of them won the bronze medal — Kadyr Kelsinbekov (weight category up to 100 kg), Ilyas Nishanov (over 100 kg), Anar Ryskulov (55 kg), Alibay kyzy Uulkan (65 kg) and Nazira Arzybekova (more than 70 kg).

 Alibay kyzy Uulkan and Nazira Arzybekova already have two «bronzes» in this Asian Games.

Later, assets of the national wrestling team of Kyrgyzstan may be supplemented with several more awards, as some athletes continue to perform at the games.

In total, Kyrgyzstan has 13 medals at the Asian Games — gold, three silver and nine bronze medals. The country takes the ninth place in the medal standings.
