The Kyrgyz Republic has received an official invitation to accede to the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
According to the agency, the decision will help strengthen international cooperation in criminal cases, improve the efficiency of obtaining evidence from abroad, and expand opportunities for tracing criminal assets.
In addition, during the 89th plenary meeting of the Council of Europe Committee of Experts (PC-OC), a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan was included in the working group on the transfer of sentenced persons.
