Land plots with an area of 1,624 hectares have been transferred to Kyrgyz Courchevel state enterprise for perpetual use. The corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers was signed by Akylbek Japarov.
The document notes that the transfer is carried out for the construction of a ski resort Three Peaks on the territory of Khan-Teniri aiyl aimak of Ak-Suu district, Issyk-Kul region.
The Cabinet of Ministers instructed to transform the lands of the Karakol mechanized forestry with an area of 1,624.26 hectares. These plots were transferred to the category of «land of industry, transport, communications, energy, defense and other purposes.»
In June, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov signed a resolution on the creation of Kyrgyz Courchevel state enterprise under the Presidential Affairs Department. It was adopted in order to create conditions for the implementation of infrastructure projects in the field of tourism with a cluster approach, improve the management structure and for efficient use of financial resources.
Earlier, a new ski project Three Peaks was presented to the head of state. During the working meeting, the General Director of the French company S3V (Société des 3 Vallees) Pascal de Thiersant, told that Three Peaks cluster could become the largest ski resort in Central Asia. The project covers three mountain peaks in Issyk-Kul region: Jyrgalan, Ak-Bulak and Boz-Uchuk. According to the plan, ski trails with a total length of about 200 kilometers will be built in these places.
It is expected that 4,800 jobs will be created after implementation of the project. Tax deductions will amount to €146 million. The resorts will operate ten months a year, and up to 850,000 tourists will be able to visit them.
