President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission. The press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov noted with satisfaction that the period of the Russian Ambassador’s mission coincided with important historical changes in Kyrgyzstan — qualitative development of bilateral relations in political, economic and cultural spheres.
The President stressed that the result of active cooperation between the two countries in the field of education was the construction of nine schools throughout the country, the beginning of the process of reformatting of work of the Kyrgyz-Slavic University, the opening of a branch of Moscow State University in Karakol and the program «Russian Teacher Abroad» that is being successfully implemented.
At the end of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov awarded Nikolai Udovichenko with the Certificate of Honor of the Kyrgyz Republic for his significant contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
