Kyrgyzstan imposed a temporary ban on the import of chicken eggs into its territory. Toktom legal information portal says.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted the resolution on June 5, 2024. It came into force three days after its official publication.
The document was adopted in order to ensure the country’s food security, stabilize market prices for food products, and ensure proper functioning of the internal market.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture noted that local production fully covers market demand, so there is no need for imports.
