The second phase of the UNICEF Girls in Science project has begun in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
According to it, 50 pilot schools in Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken, Naryn and Chui regions have been selected for the second phase of the project.
«The project will last two years. During this period, it is planned to analyze the policy of pre-school, school and out-of-school education, assist in the development of STEM-oriented adaptation plans, expand the opportunities and motivation of adolescents to continue their education after school, raise awareness about STEM education, and provide mentoring,» the ministry said.
The Ministry of Education added that the goals of the project are to encourage teenagers to engage in science and technology, increase motivation, and create conditions for learning new professions.
