MFA: No citizens of Kyrgyzstan among injured in Pakistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan recommends citizens of the country to refrain from traveling to Pakistan due to a sharp aggravation of the internal political situation. Press service of the ministry reported.

The ministry noted that the Kyrgyzstanis who are currently staying in Pakistan need to strengthen their own security measures.

The Embassy has not received any information about the affected citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic as a result of the recent developments in the country.

Protests in Pakistan began on Tuesday evening after the detention of ex-prime minister, leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, by the National Accountability Bureau (Economic Intelligence) in the Al-Qadir Trust case. The protesters attacked the residence of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore.
