Akyn Bolot Nazarov remanded in custody until March 16

Akyn Bolot Nazarov was remanded in custody in the remand center 1 in Bishkek for two more months. The Chui Regional Court informed 24.kg news agency.

Criminal case against the akyn was considered at the Moskovsky District Court on Tuesday. During the hearing, the judge extended his detention until March 16.

Journalist Aibek Biybosunov published a photo of Bolot Nazarov taken in the district court building.

The folk singer and poet Bolot Nazarov was detained on November 9 and since then he has been under arrest. A resident of Belovodskoye village wrote a statement against him. He said that Nazarov, under the pretext of taking a picture, took a horse from his underage son and then, using force against the teenager, galloped away. According to the lawyer of Bolot Nazarov, his client thought that the horse had been given to him as a present.

A criminal case has been initiated under article 206 «Robbery» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The affected party was not allowed to renounce his claims and write a countering statement.
