Ex-head of CEC Tuigunaaly Abdraimov fined 2 million soms

Former head of the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan (CEC) Tuigunaaly Abdraimov was sentenced to a fine of 2 million soms. Own sources informed 24.kg news agency.

Such a decision was made by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek. Tuigunaaly Abdraimov was found guilty of abuse of official position.

Lawyer Samarbek Bolotbekov confirmed this information to 24.kg news agency.

Security services revealed the fact of abuse of office by the ex-plenipotentiary representative of the Government in Chui region Tuigunaaly Abdraimov. When he was the CEC chairman, he, using his official position, forced the officials of the rural administration of Jeek, Issyk-Ata district, to allocate a landfill area of ​​11.2 hectares for Kainar JSC free of charge.

He was placed in the remand center of the State Committee for National Security in May. After paying damages to the state, Abdraimov was placed under house arrest.
