Ex-Chairman of the Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan, Adilet Kubanychbekov, was found guilty of abuse of official position. Own sources informed 24.kg news agency.

The decision was made by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek. It is known that Adilet Kubanychbekov was sentenced to a fine of 1 million soms to the state. During the trial, he fully admitted his guilt.

The ex-Chairman of the Customs Service Adilet Kubanychbekov was detained on January 17. According to investigators, he lobbied for the interests of private companies involved in the import of goods. In addition, schemes to hide goods from the customs administration were used at the Customs for systematic bribes. Kubanychbekov was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security, but two months later he was released. The former head of the Customs compensated the damage to the state in the amount of 51,220 million soms.
