President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, as part of his working trip to Jalal-Abad region, met with residents of Toktogul district. Press service of the head of state reported.

The President focused on the fact that construction of Kambarata HPP-1 is a project that in the future will work for the benefit of the Kyrgyzstanis, the state and its future generations. He noted that construction of the HPP became possible thanks to the work of Kumtor mine «for the benefit of the country.»

«Construction of Kambarata-1 HPP has been started at the expense of this money. Previously, there was no such a large additional source of income as Kumtor. God willing, this HPP will become the second Kumtor,» Sadyr Japarov said.

He also told about plans to build China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway. At present, a feasibility study of the project is being developed. If the process is completed by autumn, construction of the railroad will begin next year and be completed in 3-4 years with the joint work of the countries. The income will be no less than from Kambar-Ata-1 and Kumtor, amounting to at least $200 million.

Sadyr Japarov also answered the questions of local residents about the transformation of land plots for construction of residential buildings, asphalting of roads, providing access to irrigation and drinking water, payment of compensation for flooded lands, construction of kindergartens and schools. He promised that no issue would be left without attention.
