The Air Force One, president’s plane, Tu-154, which the President of Kyrgyzstan uses for foreign flights, is morally outdated. Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport and Roads, Alexander Nastaev, announced at a briefing in Bishkek.

«The Civil Aviation Department is not a business entity. We cannot say whether the plane needs to be replaced or not. But the plane is morally outdated, it is a fact. It requires more and more costs for its maintenance from year to year. It will meet the necessary requirements for at least one more year. It is necessary to talk about its replacement with the airline that serves the aircraft,» he said, answering journalists’ questions.

The head of state, Sadyr Japarov, flew to the Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (Scotland) by a private plane in early November. The Presidential Executive Office reported later that the Air Force One was not accommodated by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland due to non-compliance with technical standards. Renting a private jet was called a compulsory measure.
