Kyrgyzstan will host the 15th Traditional Music Week. The head of the Department of Culture, Art and Vocational Education of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Damira Alyshbaeva told at a press conference.
According to her, the event is held every year based on the decision of the Parliament, adopted 15 years ago.
«All universities that are in the structure of the Ministry of Culture are involved in the event. But the main task is not only the support of talents, but also finding of new ones, development of culture. They make it possible to understand whether we are ensuring the cultural future of the country,» Damira Alyshbaeva said.
Master classes by honored and national artists, round table discussions, excursions, lectures by local teachers, art historians, and representatives of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will be held within the week.
A gala concert on Ala-Too Square with participation of manaschi, dastanchi, akyns, komuz players, folk and art singers will finish the Week on April 25.
