Kremlin: EEU Customs Code to enter into force, despite Kyrgyzstan's remarks

Moscow called Kyrgyzstan's remarks during the signing of EEU Customs Code a normal working situation. Spokesman for the president of Russia Dmitry Peskov said, Ren TV reported.

According to him, "the situation on Kyrgyzstan will be further worked out. There were some comments from the Kyrgyz side. This is absolutely normal working situation."

According to the spokesman, each country takes care of its own interests, and harmonization of the interests of all participants is a complex process. However, the main provisions of the Customs Code have been agreed before the summit in St. Petersburg at the board level.

Kremlin spokesman expressed confidence that the document would sooner or later come into force as it is viable code, and it has no alternative.

"The document is the glass that is rather full than half empty," Dmitry Peskov summed up. 

Yesterday it was announced in St. Petersburg after the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union that Kyrgyzstan has refused to sign the Customs Code. After a while it became clear - the republic did not sign a statement on the development of trade and economic policy, but approved the Code.

As the chairman of board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan said, answering journalists' questions: "Kyrgyz party did not only sign the statement. This is due to the fact that our Kyrgyz colleagues propose to clarify the wording on the priority of removal of barriers on the internal markets. The rest of the documents were signed by all the presidents. "

Later, he said, the Customs Code of EEU will be submitted to Alexander Lukashenko for signature. The head of Belarus did not come to the summit in St. Petersburg.
