Saymdzhon Pratov was elected the mayor of Uzgen. It was stated today at the meeting of the Central Election Commission.
The elections were held on November 24 at a meeting of the local council, consisting of 31 deputies. However, the Central Election Commission received a complaint from members of the council, demanding a recount as there were recorded violations - in particular, there were found spoiled ballot papers.
Revoting was held the same day, and Saymdzhon Pratov won the most votes.
But the deputies Mailu-Suu town failed to elect a mayor, as there was no quorum, and one of the candidates withdrew his candidacy.
Elections of head of local governments were held in several regions of Osh, Jalal-Abad and Issyk-Kul.
