MegaCom to be put up for sale by March

Alfa Telecom CJSC will be put up for sale for the third time by March. The Head of the State Property Management Fund Bolsunbek Kazakov said at a government meeting the day before.

According to him, assessment commission is working again. It must determine the price of the company. It is expected that the assessment will be completed within three weeks. Then a new tender will be announced.

The second tender for the sale of Alfa Telecom CJSC in mid-December failed due to lack of bids. Trades were not held due to lack of applications. High price of the company was mentioned as one of the reasons for its fail.

As a result, it was again put up for sale at a discount of 27.6 percent - for 14, 255.25 billion soms ($ 208 million).

In addition to the traditional requirements in the form of application for participation and the guarantee fee of 10 percent of the starting price of the lot (1, 42.525 billion soms), potential buyers would have additional commitments. They should take up settlement of all litigations and criminal cases of Alfa Telecom CJSC.
