Defence Council: Bribery in education sphere reaches gargantuan sized and becomes of mass proportions

"Bribery in education sphere of Kyrgyzstan reached gargantuan sized and became of mass proportions," it was reported at the session of working group of secretariat of the Defence Council on corruption in the sphere of education and science.

The Minister of Education and Science Kanat Sadykov also presented at the session, he agreed with network circuit and corruption opportunities inside the Ministry of Education and Science and in under control departments. 

The expert group of representatives of civil society, ministries and law enforcement agencies worked for three months and identified seven major areas of corruption and 94 corruption schemes in the kindergartens, schools, colleges, universities, and in the ministry.

Special attention is paid to the corruption in the work of dissertation councils, the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) and the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
