National Center of Oncology under the Ministry of Health and the Kyrgyz Scientific Center of Hematology merged. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, the department of information support of the Cabinet reported.
It is noted that there were problems in this area: high staff turnover, building of the center that wasn't adapted to provide quality care to cancer patients, lack of medical equipment, inconsistency of the department of hematology with international standards for chemotherapy.
It is noted that the merge of two centers will reduce the cost of maintaining the administrative staff. This will allow sending saved resources directly on the treatment of patients.
