Mukhtar Atanaliev: Urkun film was partially changed not to sour relations between two countries

When we finished the movie, we received a request from the authorities to change some episodes not to sour relations between two countries. Film's producer Mukhtar Atanaliev told today at a press conference.

According to him, the first screening of the film was to be on August 31, 2016, but at the request of the authorities it was postponed for a while because of the state events.

"It should be noted that such films can not possibly mar relations between two countries. For example, there are thousands of films about the Great Patriotic War, but my attitude to the Germans did not change, because the present generation has no blame for those events, which involved its ancestors," producer Mukhtar Atanaliev said.

As the authors of the film noted, they set the goal - to bring the story of the tragic events to the young people.

"The script of the film is based on the stories of participants of those events, we have met with them by ourselves. The film tells the story of the fate of one village during the events," the film's producer said.

The first screening of Urkun will take place on October 12 in one of Bishkek cinemas, but on October 7, 8 there were detected cases of sale of counterfeit tickets in Tokmok town. There are no details so far," director of the film Erlan Zhamgyrchiev told.
