Council on Preservation and Development of National Culture established in Kyrgyzstan

Council on the Preservation and Development of National Culture was established in Kyrgyzstan. President Almazbek Atambayev signed a decree on its establishment today, press service of the head of state informed.

According to it, the Council, which is headed by the President himself, was created in order to improve the efficiency of government agencies and civil society institutions' work on education of a new generation of Kyrgyz citizens, attracting of intellectuals, the public and the expert community to the work on the formation and implementation of state policy in the sphere of culture.

The main task of the Council is working out recommendations for the preservation and development of national culture and the implementation of relevant provisions of the National Sustainable Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2013-2017.

The Council includes representatives of the creative intellectuals, public as well as government agencies and the media.
