National Bank has issued a gold collection coin with diamonds, the head of cash department NB KR Shamil Aidarkulov said today at a press conference.++
According to him, from December 25, 2015, the National Bank puts into circulation a gold collection coin "Snow Leopard." The main subject of its front side is the image of a snow leopard with eyes of diamonds. At the top of the coin is inscription "Ak Ilbirs" in the Kyrgyz language and the Latin species name Uncia uncia. At the bottom are sample (Au 999) and the denomination of the coin (200 soms). The circumference of the frame is in the form of the national ornament. On the reverse side of the coin in the center is the emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic. Image of Kyrgyzstan's fauna placed around. At the top are the words "Kyrgyzstandyn Kyzyl kitebi" and at the bottom - the year of issue (2015).
"The coin is issued for the promotion and preservation of rare fauna of Kyrgyzstan included in the Red Book of the KR. It continues collection of coins of the National Bank dedicated to Red Book animals. "Snow Leopard" was the seventh collection coin issued this year. Issuing the coin, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic calls upon taking good care of our nature and the animals that are on the verge of extinction. Generally National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has issued three gold collection coins. The difference of the coin "Snow Leopard" is that it is almost twice heavies than the previous, larger in diameter, and at par value (previous coins were of 100 soms). In the eyes of a leopard are diamonds of 0.09 carat," Shamil Aidarkulov said.
Coin weight is 15.55 grams. It is released in the amount of 1,000 copies. One can buy a coin for 64,950 soms.
