Former head of presidential administration sentenced to three years in prison

Former head of the presidential administration Daniyar Narymbaev was found guilty and sentenced to three years in prison with confiscation of property.++

For the ex-deputy Khadzhimurat Korkmazov, the court determined a sentence in form of a year and six months imprisonment with confiscation of property. The defendants remanded in custody.

Court reclassified the offense under Article 166 Fraud of the Criminal Code and took into account extenuating circumstances.

Recall, the former high-ranking official and people's deputy of the 5th convocation of Parliament was accused of extorting bribes in a large scale from the family of the ex-mayor of Bishkek Nariman Tyuleev for a positive solution on the confiscation of property and abuse of office case in the Supreme Court. State prosecution asked for both 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
