Kyrgyz President notes importance of Armed Forces modernization for strengthening country's defense capacity  

President Almazbek Atambayev noted the importance of upgrading and modernization of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic for strengthening country's defense capacity. He stated this at a meeting with the Chief of Staff Asanbek Alymkozhoev.

According to the presidential press service, the parties discussed issues of reform and modernization of the armed forces of the country, measures to ensure the defense and security of Kyrgyzstan. The Head of State discussed the issue of supplies modern military equipment and weapons from Russia to Kyrgyzstan.
