Adil Turdukulov confirmed the information about upcoming trip to United States

Civil society activist Adil Turdukulov confirms to 24.kg news agency the information, voiced by the parliamentary member Omurbek Abdyrakhmanov, about upcoming trip of the opposition to the United States.

However, according to Adil Turdukulov, it is not entirely correct to say that only representatives of the opposition are going there.

"Until recently, the number of people varied, and, according to my information, there will be a delegation of 17 people. I can not voice exact names, because some of them I do not know, but this is not necessarily the opposition, including human rights activists in the delegation," he said.

Civil society activist also noted that the representative of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States will attend all the meetings, and all discussed at the meeting will be recorded and written in shorthand. "Reports will be submitted to all our competent authorities," he noted.

Adil Turdugulov was undecided about the question of 24.kg news agency of who they plan to meet with, but assured that upon arrival in Kyrgyzstan they will report to the public. The return to Kyrgyzstan is scheduled for February 1.

Recall, yesterday the independent deputy Omurbek Abdyrakhmanov told 24.kg news agency that the Kyrgyz opposition is going to the United States at their own expense.

According to him, the delegation includes 14 people. "There are my colleague Ravshan Zheenbekov, member of the national opposition movement Kubanychbek Kadyrov. Kubatbek Baybolov was going to join us, but at the last moment he couldn't because of family circumstances. There are also young political leaders - Adil Turdukulov, Sonunbek Zhunusbaev, Uran Botobekov, human rights activist Zhenish Dzhoroev and others. For three - four days we are going to hold working meetings with members of the Security Council under of the US President, the State Department, USAID, the National Endowment for Democracy and senators of the Congress. Also we plan to hold a meeting in the office of Freedom radio with the leadership of the media.

Omurbek Abdyrakhmanov denied the information that "opposition is going for money."

"But, seriously, we want to improve relations with the West, particularly with the United States in order this country, as before, continue to support democratic values and economic development in our country. We intend to raise the issue of expansion of the information field for changing its one-sided coverage of events. We, as true democrats, have never advocated change of power in revolutionary way. Minds of citizens can be changed only in a democratic way possible," he added.
