"Construction of 117 objects of education continues in Kyrgyzstan," the Minister of Education Kanat Sadykov stated today at the press conference.
According to him, almost all schools have received funding for repairs and by beginning of the school year the main work has been already completed. "About 117 objects of education, 7 kindergartens and 110 schools, are under the construction. New innovative schools are open. Now there are 100 of them. They should become center and platform for training and retraining of teachers. As for kindergartens, it is assumed to introduce 50 elective kindergartens, and by the end of the year more 40 objects. In general the percentage of preschool enrollment has grown across the country. Batken province is leading. There percentage of coverage of preschool education reached 60 percent. It proves the active work in the field," he said and added that this school year students in lower grades will be provided with textbooks.
"Schools now employ about 74,890 teachers. But there still the need. The most urgent need is felt among primary school teachers," Kanat Sadykov noted.
