Solar panels are installed in Ottuk village of Ton district of Issyk-Kul province, which provide with operation of pumping station.
The head of Ulakhol rural district Akylbek Mambetkerimov told that with the help of Kumtor gold mine company, which installed the solar panels, they solved the problem with clean drinking water in the village with 2,000 residents.
"Solar panels save energy. If earlier, we paid 2,000 soms per month for consumption of electricity by water intakes, now this amount decreased up to 1,3000, it is quite significant for the local budget," the head of the rural district stated.
