The Russian Fund for Public Diplomacy Support named after A. Gorchakov intends to collaborate with the Kyrgyz Civil Society and other countries of Central Asia, the Head of the Fund Programs Natalia Burlinova, who visited our country for the first time, reported at the meeting with non-governmental organizations representatives (NGO) of the KR.
She said that the Fund implements programs on supporting youth dialogues on the Former Soviet Union republics, familiarization with foreign policy of Russia and informing of participants about possible collaboration in the sphere of public relations.
Natalia Burlinova noted that Kyrgyz youth has already participated in academic programs of this organization, such as "Dialogue in the name of future", "CSTO Academy" (Collective Security Treaty Organization), "The school of young experts on Central Asia". The Fund is in the republic thanks to alumni of these programs, she said.
She familiarized potential participants of the grant program with priority orientations of fund's activity for 2014, for instance, strengthening of regional cooperation of CIS countries, informational and expert reporting on CSTO activity, chairmanship of Russia in SCO 2014-2015, involvement of NGO and civil society representatives in ecological program resolution, assistance in development of international youth collaboration.
Natalia Burlinova explained that NGO can apply to the fund with grant applications for support of activity on mentioned points twice a year: from March 15 till May 15 and from September 15 till November 15. Those interested in collaboration, she recommends visiting the website of the organization.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF is the founder of the fund named after Russian diplomat and statesman of XIX century Alexander Gorchakov. It was founded at the order of Russian President on February 2010.
