An increase in intestinal infections is registered annually in the republic in the warm season, from May to September. The head of the Department for Prevention of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases under the Ministry of Health Dinara Otorbaeva reminded at a briefing.
According to her, at present the situation with intestinal infections in the Kyrgyz Republic is stable, at the level of previous years.
«Outbreaks or group infection (poisoning) are not registered,» Dinara Otorbaeva noted.
She reminded about the importance of personal hygiene. «We always say that it is necessary to wash hands, teach children to do it. Good conditions are created in the summer for the reproduction and transmission of intestinal infections. A lot of fruits have appeared, people buy and eat them right away, they don’t wash them. Food products go bad faster,» the head of the Department for Prevention of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases said.
