Workers from Kyrgyzstan mentioned as source of hepatitis A in Russia

Workers of logging areas from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were mentioned as a possible source of hepatitis A spread in Tulun district of Irkutsk region of Russia. The press service of Tulun city administration reported.

"The infection was supposedly transmitted though contacts," the administration said.

Numerous cases of hepatitis A have been registered in Tulun city and Tulun district.

As of January 31, 33 patients were hospitalized to the infectious department of a hospital, seven of them are to be discharged.
