Ophthalmologists from South Korea to help Karakol residents

A group of experienced ophthalmologists from South Korea arrived in Karakol town to provide free medical care. Press service of government's plenipotentiary representative in Issyk-Kul region reported.

"In due time, Korea has also experienced difficulties, then various international health organizations helped us, and we consider it our duty to provide all possible assistance to people who turn to us. For the third year, the doctors have been conducting examinations and consultations, complex microsurgical operations on cataracts, glaucoma and other eye diseases. Besides, they give free glasses and replace contact lenses," the representative of the non-governmental organization of Korea Jang Sung Pil said.

More than 300 Issyk-Kul region residents have got operated to restore the eye's lens for three years of close cooperation.

 The organizers said that Bishkek residents would be rendered the same medical assistance this year.
