The Kyrgyz President believes it is important to form the qualitative composition of the parliament. Almazbek Atambayev says today at a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament Asylbek Zheenbekov.

According to the press service, the head of state was informed on results of the fifth convocation of the parliament. Also Almazbek Atambaev and Asylbek Zheenbekov exchanged views on the development of parliamentary democracy in Kyrgyzstan and innovations in the electoral system. The President emphasized the special historic mission of the fifth convocation, which showed all the benefits of a new political system - parliamentary democracy.

"Almazbek Atambayev noted the special importance of upcoming elections in the parliament based on principles of fairness and openness. This should contribute to more qualitative composition of the parliament," the press service reports.
