Vice Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan discuss issues of borders (photo)

Vice Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan again discussed the problems of the common border, Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhenish Razakov said after a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Tajik intergovernmental commission for consideration of complex issues.

He said that behind closed doors they discussed the priority areas of mutually beneficial relations. In particular, they spoke about the delimitation and demarcation of the border. Zhenish Razakov didn't report other details.

"We agreed that we will continue to step up bilateral cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest," he said.

Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Azim Ibrokhim noted that the Tajik side is satisfied with the outcome of the negotiations. He noted that the parties paid special attention to cross-border cooperation, water resource management, increase of trade turnover.

"We have big plans to further develop fruitful cooperation, implement joint projects of regional character and develop cultural-ethnic dialogue," Azim Ibrokhim said.
