Sooronbay Jeenbekov: Uzbek side is oriented to cooperation on cross-border issues

"The Uzbek side is oriented to constructive cooperation in addressing cross-border issues," the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov said today at a working meeting.

 It should be noted, on Saturday the head of the Kyrgyz government met with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Samarkand.

Information on the work to resolve the situation around Ungar-Too, the return of four citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, detained earlier by the Uzbek side, was presented today at the meeting.

 "Cross-border issues, including those related to the detained Kyrgyz citizens, have been discussed yesterday with the Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Uzbek side is oriented to constructive cooperation," Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed.

He noted the need for a coordinated intensive work with the state bodies of Uzbekistan for a speedy solution of the raised issues and prevention of conflict situations with the neighboring country.
