Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discussed border issues, the department of information support of the head of the Kyrgyz government reported.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Samarkand on September 3.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted the key role of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the development of sovereign Uzbekistan, in strengthening the international position, economic and social development of the country.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked the KR for its support in difficult times to the country and the people, and expressed appreciation for Sooronbay Jeenbekov's participation in the memorial service.

The Prime Ministers discussed prospects of trade and economic partnership, cooperation in the fields of agriculture, transport infrastructure. Particular attention was paid to cross-border issues.
