At least 98 Chinese citizens with fake Kyrgyz passports detained in Turkey

At least 98 Chinese citizens with fake Kyrgyz passports were detained in Turkey, the Turkish media reported.

"Chinese citizens planned to fly from Istanbul to Cyprus. In the transit area, some group gave them fake passports of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic," the Turkish media said.

The article states that each citizen of the PRC has paid €2,500 per passport and $300- for a ticket to Saudi Arabia. After an official investigation the detainees will be deported to their homeland.

It's not known who collected the money and the citizens of what country helped the violators to get official documents.

It is noted that this is not the first case when foreign nationals were detained with Kyrgyz passport outside the country.
