At least 239 corruption malfeasances revealed in Kyrgyzstan for I quarter

At least 239 corruption malfeasances have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan for the 1st quarter of 2016, including 32 cases of bribery, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Among them are: 21 facts of money extortion by officials and civil servants, 7 - bribing of officials, 4 - illegal obtaining of remuneration by employees. Moreover, the corruption facts in local government have been also revealed.

At present, the amount of damages on the revealed crimes amounted to more than 252,830 million soms. Over 36.6 million soms have been repaid through the regional offices of the State Treasury.

The fact of understating the amount of tax and customs duties in international cargo transportation has been also revealed, the amount of damage is more than 25,110 million soms.

The largest number of malfeasance crimes was detected in the system of local government (55), the Ministry of Education and Science (38), the Ministry of Health (21), the State  Architecture and Construction Agency (11).
