Kyrgyz film service. What is it?

Before sitting down to write the article, I decided to make another call to the Director of "Kyrgyzfilmofond" Urmat Aitaliev. Unsuccessfully: "subscriber's phone is turned off". This goes on for a month. What is the cause of my persistence? The fact that this man has information about the box office of domestic films, including one tape, which today is written and spoken about in the country - "Kurmanjan Datka". The fourth week, I tried in vain to get these data from Urmat Aitaliev.

In this case, for almost two months, almost all domestic media regularly carry out their work: placing analytical articles, reflections on the picture, reportedly drove to tape recognition of the work at the festival, and etc. National premiere of "Kurmandjan datka" was held on August 31, the second month, as it is in wide release, is almost completed. I remember as far back in September, it was reported that "Kurmanjan Datka" is leading in the domestic box office for the third week.

By mid-October reports on the successful exhibition of the film in the republican cinemas have reached its peak, "Kurmanjan Datka" - a huge success in the regions of Kyrgyzstan ," the Department of Cinematography sent such news. In this case, even the words of Urmat Aitaliev were quoted, saying that "such display of mobile nature has already covered about 35 percent of the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the most remote areas of the country. Impressions are made with special coded equipment to prevent illegal copying. Film Foundation has organized 12 mobile groups of the number of their employees who travel to regions and show the film "Kurmandjan Datka".

It would seem that we should be happy, because, as they say, the film went to the masses, the audience was filled with its ideas. But there is not much joy today. And there's a reason. It is unclear why from us, the taxpayers (since the film is based on the state-funded), Urmat Aitaliev hides data on box office. Otherwise, he wouldn't give promises to journalist to give the information, and then, without fulfilling its promises, wouldn't turn off mobile phones. At least it's impolite and unprofessional.

At the same time for all this time silence and absence of information from Urmat Aytaliev, I got impression that the word of the Director of the Department of Cinematography of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Culture Muktaly Bektenalieva is not the law for him. Two weeks ago I was concerned about stubborn silence Director of "Kyrgyzfilmofond" phoned the head of cinematography and told about the current situation. Muktaly Abdybekovich then promised to assist, saying that Urmat Aytaliev will soon contact me and give the necessary information. After that, Mr. Aytaliev really called me, said he would do... and did not keep his word.

No, it's very good that Kurmanjan Datka film was approved in homeland, the authors are now trying to get "Oscar" and make every effort for this. However, this great plus we give to Aitysh Film team and its director Sadyk Sher-Niyaz. But they have nothing common with showing motion picture in cinemas, so they can't help to obtain data on the box office. Whether the director understands that, by hiding (consciously or unconsciously) about the box office, he spoils in general positive image of the movie? This we have yet to know.

Finally let me remind Urmat Aytaliev what are box office takings, if he forget. It is a term for proceeds from sale of tickets used in the film distribution and theater. Monitoring of box office is crucial for modern cinema, it is a mirror of economic success of a particular film. Quite often box office is monitored in the first weekend of film exhibition. The income level of the movie these days gives an indication of how much it is successful, and plan further duration of film distribution. Total fees for all the time of film exhibition are monitored as well.

However, these iron rules seem to operate only in civilized countries. Whether Kyrgyz citizens will be able to establish exact mechanism of monitoring in the film industry?
