Only 2,570 Kyrgyzstanis voted abroad, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

According to it, voting at 36 polling stations established in foreign institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic accredited in 26 foreign countries has completed. Given the difference in time zones, the last voters were at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the United States and Canada.

"The total number of Kyrgyz citizens who voted abroad amounted to 2,570 people or 17 percent of the total included in the electoral lists. The main part located in Russia and Kazakhstan. In some areas, the electoral process was monitored by representatives and observers from the political parties of the Kyrgyz Republic, participated in the voting," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.

In order to ensure a broad and open observation of the electoral process, Kyrgyzstan has invited more than 40 national and international organizations - parliamentary assemblies, international organizations and integration associations, the Central Election Commission of foreign embassies accredited in Bishkek. There were more than 600 accredited international observers, including from the election commissions of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, France, Korea, Mongolia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Bhutan and India. In addition, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bishkek, also attended the elections as international observers.

"Analysis of the results of the last voting shows that the election of deputies of the parliament of the 6th convocation were generally in compliance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the voting no accidents and incidents in precinct election commissions were detected," the Foreign Ministry added.
