“The First Teacher” of Chingiz Aitmatov filmed in Sri Lanka

"The First Teacher" of Chingiz Aitmatov filmed in Sri Lanka, Film Development Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Premiere to be held at the XII International Film Festival "Eurasia" (Kazakhstan) in the non-competitive program "Panorama." Film Forum will begin in Almaty on September 24.

The first foreign film adaptation of the Kyrgyz writer filmed in Sinhala with English and Russian subtitles. It is full-length film, lasting 98 minutes.

Recall, this is the second film adaptation of "The First Teacher," after film shot by Andrei Konchalovsky in 1965.
