Kazakh President insists on the creation of a single international center to combat terrorism, Nursultan Nazarbayev said today at enlarged meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State.

According to him, the United Nations should give the approval of the establishment of the international antiterrorist organization. At the same time, and the CIS should take effective measures to counter terrorism, in particular, to maximize the potential of the CIS anti-terrorist center.

"The heads of the CIS agree that there is a need to take effective measures to fight terrorist groups. Therefore, after a meeting in a narrow format we adopted a special declaration on security and counter-terrorism," Nursultan Nazarbayev concluded.
