Kyrgyzstan to take part in Indestructible Brotherhood 2015 exercises

Soldiers from Kyrgyzstan will take part in Indestructible Brotherhood 2015 military exercises, which will be held from September 30 to October 4 in Armenia at Baghramyan polygon.

 According to the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the topic of the exercises is "Preparing and conducting peacekeeping operations by CSTO peacekeeping forces in the Caucasus region of collective security."

The exercises will be attended by representatives and units of the armed forces, the police (militia) of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The main goal is strengthening of mutual understanding and cooperation between the peacekeeping forces of the CSTO states, development of a common understanding of the importance of joint efforts in solution of problems on stoppage and localization of the conflict. Particular attention will be paid to improvement of combat coordination to perform tasks in peacekeeping operations. In the course of practical actions, it is planned to fulfill the task on holding negotiations, escorting of humanitarian supplies, patrolling and serving duty at checkpoints and observation posts, blocking and elimination of training camps of militants.

Similar exercises were held on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in August of 2014.
