CSTO session in narrow format begins in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev takes part in it.

The meeting was opened by Emomali Rahmon as the President of the country, taking the chair of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. After a joint photography and watching the photo exhibition "Collective Security Treaty Organization - a reliable shield on the way of drug smuggling," the head of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Belarus, as well as CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha opened the council meeting in a narrow format. It is expected that the Minister of Defense of Tajikistan Sherali Mirzo will perform there with a report. The meeting is held behind closed doors for the press.

The open part of the CSTO in expanded format will be held in about an hour. Note that (CSTO) will discuss unannounced inspections of Collective Rapid Reaction Forces and further development of the military component. In total, there are more than 10 issues on the agenda.
