Government of Kyrgyzstan works on the issue of introducing the post of an authorized person to protect the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of entrepreneurs (business ombudsman). Information Support Department of the Cabinet reported.
Draft resolution was reportedly submitted for public discussion. The purpose of creation of an institute of a business ombudsman is to provide guarantees of state protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business representatives. It will also contribute to the prevention of corruption in government agencies and local government bodies.
It is assumed that the business ombudsman will have a secretariat, and a supervisory board will appear.
The issue was raised the day before in Parliament. Earlier, Kanatbek Aziz, the ex-candidate for the post of ombudsman, announced the need to introduce the new post.
