Correctional colonies and pretrial detention centers of Kyrgyzstan will be connected to the Internet. State procurement portal says.
It is planned to lay a fiber-optic communication cable from the central office of the State Penitentiary Service on Ibraimov Street, 106 to the pretrial detention centers and colonies for connecting and organizing communication channels (VPNL2) for 12 months with a guarantee speed of 5 megabits per second. The line is laid to meet the needs of organizational structures in the reception and transmission of data.
The cable will be laid through the existing channels of telephone conduit. The list includes 11 correctional colonies, six pretrial detention centers and 13 penal settlements.
About 4.5 million soms were allocated from the budget for the purpose.
