Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek considered a measure of restraint for the ex-mayor of the capital, Albek Ibraimov.
Investigators petitioned to extend the detention of the former official until December 28. The lawyer opposed, but the court granted the petition.
The ex-mayor of Bishkek was detained upon appropriation and embezzlement of property of Dastan TNC OJSC by purchasing special products at an inflated price. He was charged with corruption.
In addition, according to investigators, he organized a criminal scheme with other officials of the mayor’s office for the illegal withdrawal of municipal land located in the southern zone of Bishkek.
